Ms. Mofet, prayers for your husband, you and your family. Hospice people brought much comfort to our family when my father was ill and stayed with us until the end. They were simply wonderful during our difficult time. I hope they bring comfort to your husband and you as well.

@msmofet, I'm just seeing this. Like everyone else has said, I'm sorry to read this. Getting old is tough, but I think it's even harder when you have to watch someone you love get more frail. Sending hugs your way and prayers for you, your hubby, and family.

I've been in touch with @GotGarlic since her last visit to DC in early July. She said that it was OK for me to let you all know that her DH passed away on July 9th. It's been a whirlwind month+ since that time. You might all remember that they had just found their new home and were in that gray zone waiting to sign papers and move possessions. He never had the chance to move to the new place. :( So she's been busy with all that, plus a previously scheduled event, and is just now catching her breath. GG said that she will be back soon as soon as she has the energy to be social. Please keep her in your good thoughts.

As a cancer survivor, it always feels like a punch in the gut when I hear news like this. I hope he passed peacefully, without pain.

I also hope she continues in her move to the new home. It looks like great place to make new friends, and do new things.
