Anyhoo, I got three fake crystal serving bowls of the same size from my belle mère (French for m-i-l, but I need another term for her than for current DH's mum. As a friend put it, "I divorced him, not his mother. I kept her.") I used those for years, but they don't work in the microwave and I'm down to one of those. So, I needed another bowl. I am quite fond of Duralex, even though it can crumble, when it has collected enough knocks and taps. Duralex for serving is handy already cooked food, like potatoes, rice, and pouches of Indian vegis. They get nuked in the bowl and then go straight onto the table (on a trivet).
...I do have my eye on a mini waffle maker.
Is that a small machine that makes regular-sized waffles or a regular-sized machine that makes small waffles.

They look flat and wide to me, too. And one can never have too many dishes. In my opinion, there is no such thing.they look pretty wide and flat to me...
they'd go real nice with my other wide dishes.
