Kitchen "Candy" ~ Or, Look What I Just Got!

I got this a while ago, buy I finally got around to using it. It's for freezing and storing single teaspoon sized cubes of minced garlic.

I really like the convenience of having already minced garlic in ~1 clove cubes. It was a bugger to get them out of that thing though. I think I probably packed the garlic in too firmly. I'll have to experiment. Maybe I'll just let them freeze long enough to hold their shape and then pop them onto a tray to freeze solid and then store them in a bag. Experimenting with this is my near future.

I got yet another new blender jar! ;) This one is for the specific task of frothing. I imagine it is very useful for those needing to froth a lot of milk for coffee drinks, but I'm hoping it will make the task of frothing jello easier. I'm making a bit of Deluxe Whipped Jello these days and it has a tendency to splatter on the counter and backsplash...and toaster and coffee maker, well you get the idea. The whipping isn't difficult, but the clean up becomes a task. Anyway, see the picture below. Once upon a time, I had a stick blender that had a frothing disk, sadly, that doesn't seem to be an option these days.

These are by far the best knives I've purchased. Last time I got 6" and 8" , loved them so much decided to get this one 9.5". There is a full collection of them available, but I better stop here. Too much money. The original price was $300 I got on sale for 60% off from Macy's. Love it.

Lovely knife, Charlie! I think cooking with good looking tools makes the food taste better. :yum: Happy cooking with your new knife. Be sure to chop just the food and not your fingers. :ermm:
 
I got a couple new goodies for the kitchen. One is the kebab maker that GinnyPNW has - I will try it out for the first time tomorrow.

The other is a set of three Wilton mini loaf pans. I like nuts - especially pecans - in quick breads but DH does not. I can't believe it took me this long to figure out how to get around that [emoji38]

For the test run, I verified that one recipe for a regular 9x5x3-inch loaf pan fits and bakes perfectly in the three mini pans. This is Alison Roman's chocolate banana bread.

Love the mini loaf pans. I use mine a lot. Cake, bread, meatloaf, etc. :)

I bought a pair of this pan, 4" x 8.5". I made a store box of brownies. Perfect fit for the 2 pans.

I'd love to see pictures of the things you bake in your mini pans. You mention what you're having for dessert, but I'd love to see pictures, too, especially when you use these pans.

Wish I had read this sooner.
I just put a strawberry dump cake in the a/f, using a 5X8 pan.
I could have used 2 mini loaf pans.
