What Condiments Do You Have On Your Table?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

I have been pondering this question a little differently in recent months and have been trying to use up and reduce/eliminate the boxes, bottles, and cans that have accumulated on my pantry and refrigerator shelves.

Does anyone really need half a dozen different salad dressings, pickles, olives, mustard, jams, etc… 🤔🤭😂

I add condiments in the kitchen and usually eat from a tray in front of the tube.

I don’t actually pay much attention to the television but it is my constant companion.

Our flight to Honolulu was on Hawaiian Airlines, they always serve some sort of meal on a tray.
We got this on our tray ...

I suppose it depends on the size of the family and how often the condiments are used, but I agree that most people probably have way more than they actually need. I'll occasionally go through the condiment selection in my fridge and, more often than not, I'm finding myself throwing half of them away because they've gone past their expiry dates. And I'm talking WAY past. Last week I found a bottle of some type of sauce my son bought (and used maybe 3 or 4 times) that had expired 3 years ago.

BTW, is Sriracha considered a condiment? I bought a bottle about 6 months ago. Still unopened! I felt sure I would be using it in a recipe at some point, but not so far! :whistling

yes, I keep a hot sauce in the fridge. I used to use it over mac and cheese. It adds a zip and a tang and some salt.
Try a little in a chowder, it's good.

Now is that Chowder or Chowdah?? :ROFLMAO: Just kidding. I have only made a chowder once (after discussing the "ideal" recipe here), many years ago. It turned out that I don't do clams! (I ended up making a vegetarian chowder - which is basically potato soup). It was very tasty mind you!

Katy, that hot sauce will work on your potato soup too! My sri acha is about as old as I am and is much darker than original - but it is still good and I still use it. Most of my particular recipes only call for a tsp or 2 and that suits me fine.

I keep a pretty large selection of hot sauces in the fridge. I am out of a couple of these, right now, but this is my typical selection...

Oh, I'm sorry, you said condiments. Salt grinder, pepper grinder, napkins, along with my afternoon medication and those keto gummies that Kelly Clarkson is shilling, which, by the way, DO NOT WORK!!! They tell you you'll lose 30 pounds. I didn't lose 30 ounces!
