Tonight was my first anniversary without my sweet Stirling. I decided to have something that he liked and would have been a likely meal for us for an anniversary. I made a dish that we called Linda's pot o' pig or triple pig. It's a version of a classic Danish dish called "mørbradgryde" or "paprikagryde". It has bacon, pork tenderloin and pork sausage, AKA hot dog(s), though Danes use cocktail wieners. There is also onion, lots of paprika, and heavy cream. I served it with some of the Danish potato salad I made a few days ago and some pickled beets and cucumber salad. I had strawberries and cream for dessert. There was a cocktail, a dry Martini, while I was cooking. There was Mateus, a Portuguese rosé with supper.

I ate light. I need to lose about three pounds that I somehow gained recently. Just some nachos made with leftover NY Strip[ from Friday. Cheese and some Meteo's Hatch Chili Salsa.

I actually made eight of them, but I decided that an odd number would make a better photo. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
