Friday, October 25, 2024, two months till that day, and a month after all the stores stocked the shelves with that stuff. Did you eat anything good?

I went to the dive bar next to my hotel in Houston and had a really good BLT for less than ten bucks... and they put extra bacon on the plate!!! It came with a generous side of tater tots. The bartender there, who has only met me once, welcomed me by my name.

Again, no picture, because dive bars are dark.

I hate Houston, but love this hole-in-the-wall dive bar.

I grilled some country-style ribs. Roasted potatoes and a veggie completed the meal.

Later on, while I was watching the Yankees lose to the Dodgers (YAY!) - warm brownies topped with vanilla ice cream.

The Texas Rangers followed up last year's Series win by sucking this year, so I watched the Houston Rockets game on and off at the bar last night.
