I just had a piece of the Easy Chocolate Cake posted above along with a glass of cold milk. The cake was very good. Well worth a try. No extra bowls and stuff to wash and quick.

Nice! Sounds easy enough even a nonbaker like me can make it. Thanks Andy!

Tri-Tip ribs almost done.

Cheers for sharing Andy...always like a nice chocolate cake recipe :)

Glad you enjoyed it :)

Here's the quick chocolate cake recipe.

CAUTION: I have not tasted this recipe yet so have no idea if it's good. I'll report back in an hour or two.

EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE

1½ C All Purpose Flour
1 C Sugar
3 Tb Unsweetened Cocoa
1 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Kosher Salt
6 Tb Vegetable Oil
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Tb White Vinegar
1 C Cold Water

Preheat oven to 350º F.

In an 8" or 9" square baking pan, whisk together the all purpose flour, sugar, unsweetened cocoa, baking soda, and coarse salt.

Make a well in center of flour mixture and add the vegetable oil, vanilla extract, white vinegar, and water. Whisk until well combined.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes.

Let it cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

Here I always thought you poked it with a toothpick to allow the calories to escape.
