I've never done that before, I haven't got a clue how to do it, but wouldn't that mean sharing with the whole world? I only want to show it privately on this forum, being a reserved person I've never been one for social media 😅.
Oh look what was sitting here for hours, waiting for me to hit "Post reply".

Well, yes it would be sharing it with the whole world, but this forum isn't private or restricted to people you know and like. It's pretty much the same sharing it with the whole world. But, people have to find it to watch, same as YouTube. I have posted a few videos on YouTube. One of a Yule tree with twinkling lights, one of bumble bees visiting my cone flowers. One of snow falling. I think that's all. If you have the video file, it's easy to post to YouTube, once you have an account. If you have a Gmail address, you have automatically have a YouTube account. I don't remember exactly how it worked to post the videos, but I uploaded and could choose a title and some music,.

What format is your video file in? Not that I would know much from that but, I'm sure someone here will know something useful from that info.
My hi-tech knowledge is so limited @taxlady that I'm not sure what you mean about what format? 😆
I took it with my mobile camera. The information on it just says: VID followed by a long sequence of numbers - mp4 - and then 1920x1080 - 50,50mb 🤔.

So I imagine the file name ends with .mp4. The format would be mp4. Now, someone just has to look through the help files here and see what file formats can be uploaded here, though they may not allow uploading of video files.

Meryl, you have my sympathy. I too have taken video's with my phone and yes, they too are mp4, which are not supported here. The media supported here is
  • Apple Music
  • Dailymotion
  • Facebook
  • Flickr
  • Giphy
  • Imgur
  • Pinterest
  • Reddit
  • SoundCloud
  • Spotify
  • TikTok
  • Tumblr
  • Twitch
  • X
  • Vimeo
  • YouTube
and I have absolutely no idea how to upload to any of them to change it from an mp4. Occasionally I go to facebook and yeah, watch some YouTube, but that's it!
