We just watched a Ben Affleck movie, Hypnotic, on DVD. Billed as a mystery action thriller, it has it all. Plot and twists, action with chase scenes and a touch of futuristic fears. All in all, entertaining.

Oscar candidated Napoleon - Another great Ridley Scott movie, I'm not surprised it's been candidated for best scenography, costumes and special effects! Wow, must have cost a fortune!

We watched that last night. I enjoyed it but it really wasn't what I had hoped it would be.

Over the weekend, we watched the Netflix limited series, Safe. 10 episodes, each about 50 minutes long. It is a mystery and stars Michael C. Hall as doctor and recently widowed father of 2 young girls. As they struggle with their loss and dad struggles to connect with his girls, the older of the 2, 16-YO Jenny goes missing. And things just go from bad to worse, as dad and other search for Jenny.

All in all, it is an entertaining and gripping story. The first 2 move a tad slow, but from there, it really takes off. Lots of moving parts and stories. We enjoyed it.

Watched "Dune 2" last night. Right up my alley, a little long toothed in the middle but overall, an 8 out of 10. What were they think using Christopher Walken in that part, I just had to giggle a bit, he seemed totally miscast for the part. A damn good job using CGI when compared to Aquaman as an example, which was just hard to watch and never finished it and that movie gets tossed in the bin, lol.

When Worlds Collide (1951). Of course, I'd seen it before, but not for decades. The science in this sci-fi classic is laughably dated, and most of the effects are less than special. This was, after all, 73 years ago. But it's well written and directed and not at all a bad way to pass an hour and a half. Available on Amazon Prime Video.

Sunday, while the Corned Beef was in the oven, we watched a couple of movies. First was, Damsel. This is a fantasy movie that takes place in medieval-like times. With dragons, castles, Kings, Queens and Princes. And, as the Damsel puts it, there are many stories of the handsome prince coming to rescue the damsel in distress....THIS is NOT one of them. When Elodie's father agrees to an arrangement for her to marry the Prince from a distant kingdom, our story begins... We found it entertaining. Much of it takes place in dark, damp places, so be prepared to adjust your lighting accordingly! (Psssst.... @dragnlaw - there be Dragons in this one!)

So...the Corned Beef continued to cook and we had time for another movie, we chose to watch Irish Wish. A Lindsay Lohan fantasy rom-com. It is a cute, if kind of predictable movie. Beautiful scenery in a number of areas of Ireland. A few plot twists and a wishing bench with a fairy add a bit of whimsey to the story. We enjoyed and thought it a great compliment to our St. Patty's day dinner!

Beautiful description of Damsel. Have to say it is a perfect movie to watch at faster speed, thank you Netflix for this option, while programming on one screen, Damsel was playing on the second screen. Have to say say, it is fantasy, so don’t judge it too harsh. Any time dragons involved, it will be goofy.
I liked it.

I also found and watched Damsel the other night. Thanks guys! It was good, I enjoyed.

I binged watched a Disney Series. Death and Other Things. I thought it was really very good! Very entertaining.

Yeah, just finished watching the 4th season of True Detective : Night Country which is set in Alaska. Had me interested right up until the last and 6th episode, which was just a mess. An 8 out of 10

Just watched Something that Lord made. Based on a true story, and what a remarkable story it was. Really enjoyed it.
