I had let everyone know that there was one more
souvenir from our most recent Road Trip

...but we had to wait a bit to see it ...

... A new Chandelier for the dining area!
(I needed to get an Electrician in here to hang it for us,
oh and I need to get different shades too)

While planning our route from Chincoteague Island
to Dear SIL's home in Maryland,
I realized that we where going to go past
my most favorite place...
The Country Store in Salisbury Maryland's Eastern Shore.
We were just a bit early (they weren't open yet)
so I spied a joint right across the street, Kellyn's Kafe.
WONDERFUL! And really good coffee too :yum:
We each had a Breakfast Sandwich and shared 2 glazed donuts, DELISH!
I didn't get photos of our food, mainly because it was such a small place,
it just didn't seem appropriate...
Anyways, we got across the street to do our shopping
and it was pretty quick.
I knew what I wanted, a chandelier like I had
purchased some years earlier for our home in Southern Arizona.
We weren't there a half hour, but DH wanted to shop some more!
He really likes this shop and let's face it,
we don't back East too often
I finally drug him out and we were on our way.
So this souvenir came all the way across the Country
with us in our car, although at times I was fearful
that it was going to get beat up... but we all made it in one piece.

... just wanted to share that last bit of our trip with y'all ...

K-Girl, I love it! May you always look pretty by its illumination. ;)

I remember getting catalogs from The Country House. I know I'd look through them cover-to-cover, but I don't remember if I ever bought anything. I do know that I had fun with a couple of orders through KP Creek Gifts, but I think they are catalog only. Plus, I'd order only when they had a killer deal on shipping - like free if you bought $49 dollars of stuff. Window valances and table runners don't come cheap. ;)

And I like the shades that came with it. Why don't you like them? You might like them better when you find out that the ones you really like are around $9 - each.

CG, The Country Store shops are wonderful!
I forget how many building they have now, but
it's more than one. DH loved the place.

As to the shades, those are from the old chandelier,
and they seem to be too small for this new one.

I'll go shopping when we go down to Southern AZ,
where they have all of those fancy-pants stores...
not sure if I'd pay $9 each though  I'm a bit to cheap :ROFLMAO:
