I use this herb and spice blend to season my flour for my Bulldog Chicken. But using it as a dry rub would work well for all poultry, pork, lamb, goat, and beef. It is a savory, rather than sweet rub. The smoke from Q'ing would add great flavor.
1 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. granulated garlic powder
1/8 tsp. powdered ginger
1/4 tsp. rubbed sage
1/4 tsp. ground thyme
1 tbs. ground black pepper
1/8 tsp. red pepper
1/2 tsp. Summer Savory
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tso. mustard powder
1/8 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. granulated onion powder
1 tbs. paprika
This recipe was created while I was tryng to duplicate KFC original recipe chicken. I eventually nailed the KFC chicken, but this one is my own. It's similar, and very tasty. Enjoy.
