i had giant black worms in the cauliflower.

i don't know if you want to see the photo..

i thought you said there are only small green worms. but this time of the year in israel it is much worse..........

i've submerged it in salted water.....

WOW and Yech at the same time. Don't quite look like slugs, they do look more like worms but it's a bit hard to tell.
Your submergence in salt water should do the job.
How were you thinking of preparing the cauliflower after?
 
i told you

i used a small portion in rice and threw away all the rest. also i washed the clean cauliflower once again after..
i will wait to the winter for cauliflowers.. now they are not good....
 
Soaking cauliflower in salt water is a good way to drive out the biggest or littlest bugs, worms, slugs, and caterpillars. If they don't crawl out the side or top, they'll drown and die.
Once you cut the cauliflower more, you'll see that there aren't any more of them. If you find more, soak the cut cauliflower in salt water.
The big worm or to me it looks like a caterpillar was probably hiding in the interior spaces by the base.
