So our friend is celebrating her 70th birthday. Shes been our friend for 36? Years.
I asked her to tell me what she wants me to cook Saturday night. There will be 6 of us..I cook.
I gave her a choice of about 10 things.

Finally she gave me this.

Garlic bread
Prawns and side salad
Fillet mignon. Mushroom/ garlic sauce.
Dauphinoise and green beans.
Cheesecake.
We will end up playing euchre.

I have steaks in my freezer.
Would you be happy with that.???

I had to look up Dauphinoise. I have made it, but I was making Danish "fløde kartofler". That translates to cream potatoes. They really are good.

My youngest grandson 8 when I ask him what potatoes does he like the most. He says the ones like this and describes layers with his hands.

And good for her to let you know! (without procrastinations)
