I went to the supermarket to stock up for this storm that is hitting us hard. I picked up a couple of pieces of meat labeled Bottom Round Swiss Steak - Pot Roast. I bought them because they were very cheap. I think each were less than $1.50. They are both about 3/4 of a pound. They are pretty thin. Maybe 1/4 inch if that. Now what do I do with them?

Swiss Steak ??

These steaks are a little thin for swiss steaks that I normally make.

1/4 inch seems like sonthing I would cut in to thin strips, marinate in a teriaki sauce and stir fry with a bunch of Veggies.

I have a super simple recipe for Swis Steak.
I use a London Broil, about 1 1/2 inch thick.
Pound in salt, pepper, garlic ppwder and flour in to both sides.
Brown off the meat in 2TBS oil the cooking pot.
Add carrots and onions (amounts not critical)
For the sauce it's catsup! I mix catsup and water. 1 water to 1 1/2 catsup.
Cover and simmer on low for 2 hours.
