What did you have for supper?

We had Chief's Stove Top Deep Brown Beans, served with brown basmati rice, and homemade coleslaw. I used a couple of strips of thick cut bacon and a couple of wieners, as the meat portion of the beans dish. We are really enjoying this dish, with my tweaks.

Pie. Specifically, a pie made with mashed potatoes, sautéed onions and sage pork sausage all mixed together and baked in a crust. My mother called it "French Pork Pie" but it's rather like Tourtiere, except there's quite a lot more potatoes.

It's damn tasty stuff, whatever it's called.

Noodle soup, made an oops with too much dehydrated parsley, very annoying.
A couple of brownies.

Fried chicken, candied sweet potatoes, and collards. Dark chocolate for dessert.

I put a chicken on the rotisserie while we watched a movie. Also made a smashed potato casserole and I roasted a couple of Delicata squash...yummy dinner!
