The fit and balance of knives are very important and can only be determined by actually holding it before buying.
I agree without equivocation. I have had and used several brands and some were the absolute pits to use. One of the worst handles on any knife I've used is Cutco. They may fit some, but not me. I love Wusthof Classic, but Chicago Cutlery has an almost identical fit and feel for a fraction of the price. My sister's preference is quite different from mine, so this is definitely NOT a case of one size fits all.
