So I bought a Dracaena a few months ago and popped it on the top of a unit in my living room. It seems happy enough and I have followed the weekly watering instructions. (feel free to snigger at the wallpaper - not my choice and will one day be replaced!)

However, I couldn't help but notice that it has now been joined by some alien life forms!

The "shrooms" are very small (about a centimetre across). I wonder if the spores or whatever were in the compost that came with the plant? My living room is not filled with mould generally and pretty well aired generally I would say, so I wasn't expecting to see these indoors! (Though we have had such a miserable, wet summer there are a lot of mushrooms growing outside.)

Anyone able to identify them? (I am not planning on eating them by the way!) Just interested as to what they might be.

I think those might be toadstools and you definitely shouldn't eat them, nor should your pets if you have any.

The spores probably were in the compost.
