ISO famous, old mac and cheese recipe

Hello! I seek out a famous, very good mac and cheese recipe from, I think, the early 20th century or even the late 19th. I seem to recall the author's first name was John, but I may be wrong on that.


It was a rocking good recipe! I've lost it and hope to find it again. Thanks for your help.
