I actually baked a cake. As in looked up a recipe, sifted flour, etc. MEASURED. It was a dark chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and chocolate ganache on top. Strawberries topped the ganache. It was pretty! However we cut it at the restaurant before taking a photo. This is what was left.

I had a great day, issues with out fridge notwithstanding. The cake was very good, though I almost couldn't find room to fit it in. I fought through and was able to conquer a slice.


Having my folks and some friends join us for dinner was great.
