Should you remove a cookware off the induction stove after cooking or can you leave it on the stove?

You can leave it on the burner/stove top. The burner does not get hot. It generates electromagnetic energy that heats the metal in the pan with our heating the burner area of the stove so there is no cool down period.

Unless you are using a induction cooktop adapter plate because you're using non-compatible cookware. The induiction plate will remain hot for a good while and anything on it will continue to cook.

I agree with all - but pay attention... you can still burn yourself, adapter plate, CI pan, or stainless steel - they are all hot enough to give you (or someone) a burn.

Many mitigating circumstances... are you afraid left over food will keep on cooking? or burn? Are you afraid an empty pan will burn? or dry out and be hard to clean? Are you afraid of.... what?
seeing, you are not explaining why you have a concern.

The top was made to withstand the heat that it generates for the pan itself. the pan will eventually cool off and therefore so will the stove top with the pan on top of it.
