Assorted food plates with french fries (baked no oil), ww macaroni w/tomato sauce, mushroom pate on toast, 3 colors of grapes.

Our daughters and grandson came over today for a visit. We had planned a meal of all appetizers.

We had:
1. Marinated mushrooms
2. A layered dip with hummus, giardinara, feta and stuff with pita
3. Shrimp stuffed with crab
4. Mushrooms stuffed with walnuts and cheese
5. Itch.
6. Bruschetta
7. Chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache topping
8. Vanilla ice cream
9. Cheesecake brownies.

Andy, I like the idea of vanilla ice cream and brownies as appetizers!

I made another 3 qt batch of gazpacho today, with the last cucumber off of the last plant I pulled yesterday (3 more plants, started in early August, but they won't be here for a while). The weather here has been disgusting (back into another heat wave), so a good time for cold things, and no cooking!

I'd be happy with brownies and ice cream for supper!

Himself grilled what the store called pork riblets, and finished off a couple of nuked yellow potatoes while he was grilling. I steamed corn and cut up some watermelon - emphasis on "water". We shared the last of the homemade applesauce.
