We had escargot, a 2 inch thick perfectly med rare rib eye, a cheddar/cream/potato side, and a white chocolate bowl filled with dark chocolate mousse, decorated with raspberries, gold leaf and mint leaves.





APRIL FOOLS DAY!

Tasso pasta. Homemade tasso, carrots, onion, garlic, zucchini, yellow squash, cream and ParmR.

I would rather have had the made up dinner, but ... oh well.

Oven roasted Asparagus with pecorino- really good! Some ham and napa. Actually pretty good all together, and some left over snow peas I found hanging about. they didn't make it on the plate though. Sort'a munchy while waiting.

Since I can't make Steak Frites, damnit! I'm going to make this.
I just need to put on a pot of fresh Rice to cook and Bob's Your Uncle.

We ordered from our favourite burger place. They are back to their old standards and have updated the prices on their menu. I'd rather pay a little more to make up for the rising costs and get a really good burger, than have a skimped on burger for a bit cheaper. We really enjoyed our burgers.

We had steaks tonight. Tube steaks, AKA hot dogs. Popped the leftovers from earlier in the week under the broiler to heat. We also had potato salad and dill pickles.

My younger daughter came for lunch today. We had hummus accompanied by roasted red peppers, marinated artichokes and two different types of olives. That was followed by potato leek soup and BLTs. Dessert was lemon pudding cake. Sorry, no pics when I have a guest.

A crunchy salad topped with chunks of Buffalo style chicken breast and blue cheese dressing.

Pecan shortbread cookies and a glass of ice cold skim milk for afters.

Didn't realize I had taken a pic of my supper. It was delish - I actually roasted the asparagus perfectly! Can I do it again? hmmm
