Washing Up
Made these last night for dinner & they were DELICIOUS! Here's the original recipe with my adaptations afterwards:

First off, I subbed ground turkey for the ground beef, & I then saved 1/4# of the ground turkey (to add to my "Shrimp with Lobster Sauce tonight) & used the remaining meat to make just two large oval patties (longer & more oval to fit the slices of Pumpernickle bread). Cooked the patties for 5 minutes per side in the olive-oil dressed cast iron pan.
I thus also cut the sauce ingredients in half, & additionally subbed in turkey bacon for the regular bacon, & Arugula for the Watercress.
But all in all - turned out great, but we did eat them with fork & knife rather than out of hand, as they were a bit messy. However, this recipe is definitely a keeper (& I did enjoy enjoying the remaining Guinness while I cooked - lol!!).
