Servings: Enough for 2 or 3 (possibly 4) servings of ice cream

INGREDIENTS

1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder
3 Tablespoons of granulated sugar
1 Tablespoon of 10% cream (Whole milk or whipping cream would probably work too.)
1 Tablespoon of butter

Special equipment:

Microwave oven
Microwave safe glass cup or other smallish container, for example, a Pyrex measuring cup

STEPS

1) Measure the cocoa and sugar into the cup. Stir until mixed thoroughly.

2) Add the cream and stir until completely blended. Look from the side, through the glass, so you can see that there are no dry spots. The dry spots will be much lighter in colour than the wet parts.

3) Add the butter on top.

4) Place the cup with the ingredients on a saucer or plate. It might spill over the top.

5) Microwave for one minute on high. The optimal amount of time, or even the power setting, might vary depending on your microwave.

6) When the minute is up, stir the ingredients to distribute the butter. Be careful, the sauce will be very hot.

7) Immediately spoon or drizzle over ice cream (or whatever else you want to use it on). It will thicken too much to pour as it cools off.

NOTES

This works well on ice cream. I think it would work well on pudding or cake. If you put chopped nuts or sprinkles, etc. on before the sauce cools too much, they will stick to the sauce.
