Is there such a thing as high-quality electric black pepper grinder?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

I bought a Peugeot battery powered pepper grinder about twenty years ago. I still use it almost daily. Peugeot also makes excellent manual pepper grinders. They are expensive, but worth it, IMO.

I have one like this...

I had 2 of them - one I bought (and quickly returned) a battery operated peppermill, since it did not last long, with 4 AA batteries. Another was given to me as a gift, with 6 AA batteries, and lasted a little longer, but was slower to use than my Perfex manual. I don't remember the brand names, but the second one is still upstairs, somewhere, in case I really need it someday. I also have 2 other Perfex - one for white pepper, the other for Szechwan. And 3 other manuals, for whatever reason!

I have 2 Peugeot manual ones. One for white and one for black pepper. I I’ve had them for 25 years.

Even with my arthritis, they are very smooth and easy to use.

Peugeot makes electric ones, too.
