Today was my son's birthday and rather than go out to eat he chose for us to stay home for the Saints game and frill steaks for his birthday meal. Instead of using my ceramic or the pellet fueled grill I decided to fire grill the steaks on the fire pit grill. For him I picked up a nice dry aged New York Strip and filets for eveyone else.
I used oak wood along with Jack Daniels charcoal and pecan wood chunks for more smoke.
No pictures of the baked potatoes or broccoli but I was successful with this weekends attempt at making those Parker House Rolls I tried to make last weekend. Fresh yeast was the key.
They are buttered and sprinkled with Maldon Flaked Sea Salt.
These rolls were absolutely delicious. Tender and hard to stop eating them.
