I do love my family, but want to leave a few things that make them say, "Hmm...was NOT expecting that...."

DW and I, both of Depression Era parents,,,, inherited the "frugal" genes....
it has come to the point that I'm fixing to get a dumpster and start tossing everything and anything.

our kids are all successful in their own right - they buy/have/own everything they want/need.
no, they don't need/want three generations of sterling silverware . . .
or china.

our son covets my copper cookware, so there's some slim hope .....

I am a hobby woodworker - made many pieces including two solid oak desks and full 'office' sideboys/file cabinets - my guess is they'll go for $10 a pop at the estate auction . . .

it is a dismal anticipation thing . . . but it is a truth we have no option but to own up to.

Which is a shame as pretty soon all our land fills will need to be built on top of. wonder how much thicker the earth's crust has gotten with all our garbage.
