Hello
I have my kids birthday this weekend, and we're having it at a park type area. I wanted to bring my bbq, but dont have a truck. So they have kitchenettes there, and fire pits with grills on top, with door on the side to put more wood in, etc.

I'm a planner, and a perfectionist, and I don't want to mess this up lol. There's about 30 people coming, so last thing I want to do is ruin the food. We're just having hamburgers so not overly complicated, but what's the best way to do it? I mean, do I need to get the fire going for a good hour so it gets nice and hot? Do I wait for it to burn down a bit? Is it okay if I need to add more wood halfway through cooking? Any other tips?

Don't forget to bring a grill brush. Those park grills can get nasty!

And some sort of fire tending utensil/stick to even out the coals.
