This sounds like a good recipe to make for New Years Eve. It will help use up some more capers.

Shrimp Marinated with Capers and Olive Oil

1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
3/4 cup white wine vinegar
1/4 cup capers with brine
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp. dry mustard
3 bay leaves
1 garlic clove, pressed
2 lbs. cooked, peeled, medium shrimp
1 onion, thinly sliced
Nicoise olives
Lemon slices

Mix first 9 ingredients in large bowl. Add shrimp and onion and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight. Transfer shrimp with marinade to serving bowl. Garnish with olives and lemon. Set bowl with shrimp into larger bowl filled with ice and serve. Serves 6
