we call this Peas and Rice. normally served as a side to roasted chicken... I'm sure the Italian version is nice, but my Mother made it like this..
boil a pot of American long grain rice..
boil a small pot of frozen peas per pkg directions.
plate a piece of chicken, then a scoop of white rice, then a scoop of peas, then pour some of the chicken juice on the rice...
I still Love this to this day..
It also works well for children!... My Dear SO. still doesn't like the two veggies to Touch Each Other!... so they are done separetley, with a pat of butter on the peas...yet, I always notice that The Peas and Rice Become One! Rici y Bisi!
