I cooked up a USDA Prime NY Strip, sous vide, then seared in butter in a cast iron pan. I mixed up a quick version of a peppercorn sauce to have with it. It was big steak, so I have leftovers for steak tacos tomorrow.

I wasn't up for cooking, so I just snacked for supper: potato salad, cooked chicken breast on knækbrød (crisp rye bread), hot antipasto, some sliced, cured pork, and a chunk of brie. I wish there had been more veg, but I just wasn't in the mood to cut up any veg. I wish I had remembered that I have some cruditées in container in the fridge. Oh well. It was pretty good. I had an orange for dessert.

It's been way too hot to cook anything. Lloyd's ribs were on sale, though, so I put them on foil, put in three tablespoons of water, and wrapped them up. I put them in the oven at 250° for two hours and the meat just fell off the bone. Ate them with a plastic fork and knife. This morning I had baked some garlic cheese biscuits and I warmed those up to eat with the ribs. Deeeelicious.

Wait - that was tonight, the 6th. It's too hot and I'm too tired to correct it.
