I was going to buy a bag of those one day while browsing the snack aisle, and they (Kroger) wanted $7.99. For one bag! I was like nope.
They do look good, though. I love pretzels. Maybe I'll pick them up if they ever come down some in price.

I don't get to Walmart very often. They closed the one on my end of town. I'll sometimes stop at the one on my work end of town, but it's not really a convenient drive. But next time I get over there, I'll look for these pretzels because during the rare times I shop Walmart, I definitely check out the snack aisle because, as you said, it's less expensive.

Good point. More than likely just to make them sound more appealing.
My mom used to make homemade pretzels, but they were those big soft German beer pretzels. MAN were those good. Nothing better than a big, fluffy, warm soft pretzel with a little bit of Bavarian mustard. Yellow mustard is good, too.

adjective. simple and unpretentious, evoking the comforts of home: home-style hospitality. homestyle cooking.
I don't really think that crunchy, bagged pretzels give that "comforts of home" feeling, as compared to things like chicken & dumplings or homestyle potatoes, etc. But, for some, maybe pretzels bring that feeling if, like jennyema, pretzel making reminds her of home comforts.
For me, the big soft pretzels give me that feeling because, every time I have one, it reminds me of making the beer pretzels with my mama
