We had some of those cornbread waffles( - Crawfish Etouffe' and Cornbread Waffles )left from last nights dinner so I popped a couple in the toaster to warm and fixed myself a couple of fresh eggs sunny side up to top the waffles with.

I don't know if anyone has ever tried something like this but sunny side up eggs go perfectly with cheesey, pepper laced cornbread like this. Being in the form of a waffle with the crispy ridges and reservoirs with melted butter are just made for each other.the little resvoir hold the warm rich egg yolk after you pierce that orb of deliciousness. Mmm.... Mmmmmm..............
Goes better together than toast for sure!

OK, caugh up the recipe for cornbread waffles! Or is it just cornbread baked in a waffle iron??? I might could do that with or without the cheese and the peppers. Oh, the variations I can imagine.

Thanks for the pictures and ideas.
