i got the suck-o-lator out of mothballs yesterday to do some chicken. the suck-o-lator pulls a vacuum to expand the meat allowing it to marinate within a few hours vs overnight. i then tossed them onto the rib-o-lator to cook.

i coated the chicken with greek yogurt, ginger, garlic, and orange juice.

the injection was diluted yogurt, butter, and OJ.
my son made the injector pump and i made the multi-needle injector block. the needels are 2"long and about 1/2" apart and it works great with the pump.

i cooked them on the rib-o-lator at 325-350 grill temp for about an hour and they came out crispy, tasty and water hose juicy.

Sure wish I had a Suck-o-lator. Is there any credit plans available? Thanks.

That injecting gizmo looks very nice. Now since us po folks naturally cant afford stuff like that. I have picked up the habit of injecting chickens with a plastic squeeze bottle with an injecting tip on the end. Screw on lid and about the size of restaurant ketchup dispenser. Last I bought was marked Heinz 57 or similar. They usually hang out on the end caps at the big grocery stores..if they have some. Works great on chicken but not so good on brisket. The tip is like a real hypo needle and it gets plugged up after each shot on brisket..not quite so bad on butts but still problematical. Now using that untensil I could have 14 chickens injected to the gills before a person could prime the pump on the manifold apparatus. We might need to pass this tip on to the junkies at the park:).
