I went looking for quinoa, after three stores, I end up with quinoa flakes.
I'm disappointed and will probably have to buy some quinoa pearls online.

So I'm looking for recipes to use it and I find, use it like oatmeal to make a morning porridge, use it in banana or fruit muffins or quick breads and finally use it as a binder in veggie burgers. This is all great, but oatmeal will do the same for me, and I don't need a gluten free alternative.

I was hoping for some savory recipes using the pearls, like rice. Cold veggie quinoa salad, quinoa fried with egg and veggies like fried rice, side dishes for dinner.

Unless you need a gluten free alternative grain/seed, I'm just not crazy about the flakes.

They are just the quinoa pearls rolled flat, including the hull. They are smaller than rolled oats. They cook up more like malt-o-meal than rolled oats.
