Grrrr turkey still frozen!

Yep my turkey is rock solid hard. I took the bird out of the freezer Sunday night and had it in my fridge. I took it out today to brine it only to discover it didn't even thaw a bit.

Now I have to do that darn cold water method to get it thawed enough so I can brine it this afternoon!

Better check your turkeys now!

If you can get it cleaned out (the giblets and such), I say into the brine with it!

The extra salt will help it thaw....

I have put mine in the brine frozen too. I often leave it outside (its chilly here) with the lid on to discourage a curious dog...it usually doesn't take too long to thaw and the brine still works on it.

I'm with these two....go ahead and throw it into the brine and kill two birds with one stone...
