    I don't have a pizza stone. More than likely should have one. Or use my cast iron fry pan. Or on the gas grill. I put them in the oven at about 500 deg. Or on a black stone griddle.     Remodeling Kitchen

    I want to stick with butcher block and am thinking of using epoxy to finish the top. But not sure of that. Or just do it the old fashioned food grade mineral oil or what ever would be best. Thinking of Hickory. It's harder than maple.

    Counter top Question. We are thinking of putting a wooden counter top not sure what type of wood I would line to do my bread and pie work on the counter top. So would it stain the wood? What would be the best wood? Or would putting epoxy over the wood work? Or just go with a laminate top?

    The brewers yeast works fine has a little different taste, not bad just a little stronger. If put in the oven with hot a pot of hot water under it second rise takes about 10 min. I like it as well as regular yeast.

    Bread with brewers Yeast

    Baked a loaf of white bread with the brewers yeast today. The yeast seems to take longer to rise has a slightly different taste but good and a little courser crumb but not real sure about that till I bake a few more loaves. I'm going to try to make Cuban bread tomorrow.

    As far as I am concerned I have just used it for mixing the bread and letting it do the first rise then I take it out put it in a pan or a cookie sheet and bake it. I'm not sure how the newer ones bake the bread?

    Ya a new pan but the machine is about 15 yrs or more old and I can't find any except on ebay and would that be any better than what I have. So I guess I might just get something else.
