What have you had for breakfast lately?

Woke up to SO's right eye swollen shut. I took her to urgent care. It is an allergic reaction to something in her garden or the mulch we spread the other day. She got a cortisone shot and an Rx for more in the form of pills. The swelling started to go down before we left urgent care.

So, I just finished a banana nut muffin for breakfast.

Brunch was poached eggs (with a pat of butter), a toasted and buttered onion bagel.

Just finishing up an omelet with ham, onion, green pepper and cheese.

On the trip south, I introduced my friend's daughter to "lobby waffles" served daily in the lobby of the hotel along with other offerings. She sent Frank a photo of her lobby waffle and thought it was a brilliant idea.

Corned beef hash and poached eggs are on the menu for brunch later today.

5/25/24, I think I just invented the Hawai'ian Slam! Pineapple pancakes with coconut syrup, two bacon, two sausage and two Spam, Macaroni salad, tropical fruit salad, and a pineapple mimosa.

Well...since we had very serious storms last night and were without power for 12 hours we had to get creative. At least we have a gas cooktop which makes things easier. Minimal breakfast but we were sated. Power was restored about midafternoon. There are folks who will be out for days.
