Here is an easy to make peach cobbler. Less than 15 minutes prep time on this one...provided your ducks are in a row.
Easy Peach Cobbler
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cups Butter, 1 1/2 sticks, divided
1/2 cups Granulated sugar, for batter
1/2 cup Granulated sugar, for filling
1/2 cup brown sugar, for filling
1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 Tablespoon Baking powder
1 1/2 cups Milk
6 cups frozen peaches (2 14oz packages)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 35
2. Butter 13x9 pan.
Filling:
1. Melt 1/2 cup butter in large skillet.over medium heat
2. Add 1/2 cup granulated sugar
3. Add 1/2 cup brown sugar
4. Stir to combine, mixture will be dry
5. Add peaches to skillet and stir to coat with sugars as peaches begin to melt a sauce will form. Continue stirring until evenly coated.
6. Add cinnamon and nutmeg and stir into mixture
7. Immediately pour peach mixture into baking pan
Batter:
1. Melt 1 cup of butter.
2. Mix together 1/2 cup of sugar, salt, baking powder and flour into a mixing bowl.
3. Whisk in milk to form batter.
4. Pour in melted butter and mix well.
5. Pour the batter into the buttered baking dish distributing evenly.
6. Shake to level.
7. Place on casserole baking sheet to catch any spill overs and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until golden and bubbly. If you desire, sprinkle an additional teaspoon of sugar over the cobbler 10 minutes before it’s done.
