Where to get pork hocks

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

I have never had trouble finding ham hocks in any grocery store anywhere in the US, and I have lived in a LOT of places. Have you asked someone in the meat department? Have you tried a meat market or butcher shop?

If you REALLY can't find a ham hock, you can substitute a smoked turkey leg.

Assuming you're in Appleton, Wisconsin, this is what comes up in a Google search.

If you have an Asian market near you, try there - they sell just about every part of the pigs in the markets near me.

Wisconsin is a farming state. You should be able to find local meat processors, aka butchers, bwho can get you fresh, or smoked hams, hocks, trotters, any part of the pig/cow you want. Plus, when you purchase a whole. or half animal, you pay far less per lb. than at markets. See if there are butcher shops near you.
