I tried one last night. Other than the color, it was pretty much indistinguishable from the regular whopper. Still, it was quite interesting to see a black hamburger bun.

Wondering why it is black...what are the odds that it is food colouring rather than something exotic like squid ink!?

I think the US version is food coloring, and the Japanese version is squid ink.
