The best banana pudding I have ever had. This is my Mama's recipe of course.

1 bx Vanilla Waffers
5 Bananas
3 C Milk
2 small bx Vanilla Instant Pudding
1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk. ( Sweetend condesed milk )
( Not Evaporated milk)
1 12oz Cool Whip

Mix the two bx's of pudding with three cups of milk. Beat at medium speed until it begins to thicken. Add one can of Eagle Brand while continuing to beat at medium speed. When it is mixed well then FOLD in the cool whip.

Line a very large bowl in order- One layer of waffers, one layer of banana slices, one layer of pudding mix. Repeat layers until it reaches the top of the bowl making last layer from pudding mix or cool whip. Top with crushed waffers. ( You can be creative on this last layer )

Chill for at least two hours before serving.

It is very important to fold the cool whip in to create volume. It is also very important to use a BIG bowl.

Just finished a big bowl of the self same delicious stuff. The Warden been following that recipe for at least ten years or so. Its a winner without a doubt.

Thanks, Cliff, for bumping this up. I made a batch today and it was awesome.

I vote with the fella who talked about the home made vanilla puddin. Got to kick any recipe up a notch. Now we only ate it hot when we just couldnt wait for it to get cold..lol.
