Precooked farro substitute

i have a recipe calling for an 8 oz package of precooked farro. I can only find normal uncooked farro, how much dry uncooked would equal the 8 oz bag precooked?

Does the recipe state 8 Oz precooked farro or 8 Oz farro, precooked? That does make a difference.

I would try to cook 4 oz farro and then weigh it and see if it double in weight or not.
