There seems to be a world shortage of mushy peas, at least in the UK supermarkets. Last year, I bought a 2kg bag of marrowfat peas (dry). This is what mushy peas are. I have put some in water and they have grown in size. Only thing is, Mushy peas in a tin are green like garden peas. These are red.
What do they do?

The only dry "marrow" beans I've even seen here are white ones - larger than Navy beans, but smaller than Great Northern, and not very elongated. I never saw the red ones, unless we have another name for them.

All the times I've been to the UK, and eaten at fish and chip shops, I've never had mushy peas. Can you make them with frozen peas? Seems like those would be available.
