Ooooo, shiny! Have fun!
What do the numbers mean? Servings? How do you know how much water to add?View attachment 63913

not at all - the "lip" of the cup displaces the water level 'higher' - when removed, there's no water 'coating/accumulation'With that style of butter bell, does the butter get wet?
Nifty. That seems like a reasonable way to do it.@taxlady Those numbers on rice cookers usually refer to a measuring cup they give you (different from our usual measuring cup), and you put that many "cups" of the rice in, wash it well, then fill to that level mark in the cooker. That's obviously a better rice cooker, since jasmine doesn't need as much water, and it accounts for that.
This link shows pretty much what I do for coconut rice - Rice Cooker Coconut Rice - however, I do NOT use the shredded coconut (yuck!)...and I will often add a tablespoon or two of coconut/palm sugar. This smells heavenly while cooking!!<<I also happen to like making rice with coconut milk - do you think I will be able to with the cooker? The ratio is pretty much the same.>>
These are great for proofing dough too...easy to see "double in size"...View attachment 64321
I've been wanting these for some time now, but could never find anywhere here in Cowboyville.
I try to NOT order stuff from Amazon nor pay someone for S&H costs.
COSTCO to the rescue!!!
Funny, I was watching a You Tube video on a Costco haul and they featured these - we had to make a trip over there today to make some returns ...
I wanted these for `fridge proofing Pizza dough.
So, now that I have been using them for about a month and a half, I have to say I like them.I got and have just started using this. I wanted to see for myself about ceramic knives. They seem good, but I'm not really impressed yet.

In the not too distant past I used to buy from both Amazon US and Amazon UK but am unable to buy from either now, even though I have the correct passwords, because I don't have a smartphone. Even to contact them by email is impossible as after you fill in name/password they send a four number code to your phone and ask you to tap on it when you receive it.I try to NOT order stuff from Amazon nor pay someone for S&H costs.
