Does anyone know a recipe for Koeksisters (South African dessert)

I dropped my son off at his South African friend's house tonight for a sleepover (they have a soccer game in the morning). His mother had been making something called "Koeksisters", for Africa Day tomorrow, and she let me try some. It was delicious! It is sortof like a donut/funnelcake but very sweet and syrupy on the outside. I would like to try making some myself but do not know of a good recipe, if anyone has one I would be very thankful

Oh yes, she is dropping my son off tomorrow, I will ask her then. I hope I don't butcher the pronounciation though

and at the same time ask her for the pronunciation! LOL I'm not shy anymore asking someone to repeat about 4 times for me to try and get it right! sometimes I never do but often they can't help themselves, makes them laugh out loud.
