Didn't Want Cake

I didn't want birthday cake for tomorrow. Instead, I made a fresh strawberry pie, topped with homemade strawberry coulis, and a peach pie, again made with fresh peaches, and covered in a peach coulis. Desert will be vey good tomorrow.

I have never one for birthday cakes, either. I used to tell my sister if she wanted to get me something, get me some really good ice creams, that I could serve on my favorite brownies (Maida Heatter's Palm Beach Brownies). Those pies would be the same type of things.
