I purchased uncooked maple sausage links a few months ago and ended up putting them in the freezer. I put them in the refrigerator Saturday afternoon so I could cook them Sunday evening. I've changed my mind and would like to refreeze them. I have nasal congestion and can't taste a thing, darn allergies. :( Is it safe to put them back in the freezer?

I have done this. I usually write how many days it was in the fridge. That way, if something would usually be good for four days after defrosting, I would count that as two fewer days that they would be good after the second defrosting. I might also decide to use cold water to defrost them. That's quicker than the fridge, so it can be done a few hours before you want to use them. That way, if something comes up, like a cold or a migraine or low energy day, they are still in the freezer.

I don't see a food safety issue, but it's likely to be more dry after freezing, thawing and re-freezing.

I'd use them in something to help that deficit rather than being the solo star.
