We're going to Glenn's daughter's home for Thanksgiving and will be bringing a sweet potato dish. However, since I know her family likes bread, especially her husband, we're going to bring a tray of cinnamon rolls.

They are on their final rise right now. I'll refrigerate them and ice them Thursday morning.

'Bout the best recipe I've ever come across. Here's a link for those who might be tempted: https://whatscookingamerica.net/bread/cinnamonrollsfantastic.htm

This past week I'm getting a christmas box together for my youngest son and his roommate. The jerky is made and heat treated. The cherry shortbread cookies are done. The parmesan crackers are done. The chocolate cherry fruitcakes are done. German peppernuts are done. Today I'm making the cracker toffee, 'crack', tomorrow the nougat with nuts and jelly candies. And then.....it's done....yay.

A scaled down recipe for baking powder biscuits.

Preheat oven to 400f.

Whisk together
1 cup AP flour
1 t baking powder
1/4 t salt

Mix in
3 T melted butter
1/2 cup milk

Shape and bake for 25-30 minutes.

This recipe makes two large drop style biscuits.

Thank you Aunt Bea, 2 biscuits is perfect for me!

Completely forgot to post my disaster bread. Was OK, still ate it once the burn was cut off. :ROFLMAO:

Almost perfect circle, at least I know I had centered it rather well.

My bread machine is sick of me this week. By yesterday I'd made 2 loaves of toasting bread, along with 2 French bread baguettes and, finally, a dozen or so of cinnamon rolls.

I put the machine away until it got over its hissy fit. Never mind. Little does it know I have some potato rolls in its future.

Don't tell.

Katie would love to hear/see your potato roll recipe.

Plus your toasting bread recipe.
So far I've been using my French bread recipe for both baguettes and boule. I haven't felt confident enough with the bread machine to use my other bread recipes with it.
I have a cinnamon roll recipe I'm going to try soon. (have to make sure the grand's are here when I make them... I'll eat them all if they're not)

I made mini cheesecakes. Had a problem with the tops cracking. :( (Any advice would be welcome.) I used cinnamon graham crackers and Trader Joe's candied pecans in the crust. I need to tweak the filling recipe a bit. They were pretty good.
(The tea spoon is for size reference)
