Recently was able to procure some apple wood from a local orchard that completed spring trimming. How long should I dry it before I use in my Char-Griller with SFB.

Kinda new here, and from the mid-west. Edgamakate me here. Aware of of the 2 parts of a brisket the point and the flat. whats a packer, CAB flat, full packer vs. flat.
